For centuries the Inca Empire flourished even though it spread over a large area. In this investigation, students consult a variety of sources and consider their reliability as they respond to the central question: How did the Inca maintain control over such a large empire? Students write an argument in an e-mail to the Field Museum curators suggesting sources in the Museum’s online Inca Empire exhibit and teach viewers about how the Inca maintained control over their empire
